On the last Sunday in June, Son Harbor kids left their temporary lower level classrooms, following their teachers upstairs to the first floor.  With wide eyes, the children had their first glimpse of new aluminum wall studs and pristine drywall surfaces that will be their new Children’s Ministry classroom spaces.

Volunteer teachers and small group leaders handed out pens and Sharpie markers, with an unexpected instruction: to write on the walls!

Smiles, thoughtful faces, and conversation happened as the children wrote prayers, thank yous and praises on the walls in their own words, from their own hearts. Their excitement was palpable as they left messages for Him and about Him. Eventually their words and drawings will be covered up with paint, but God knows what’s underneath!
